The bay is a 15-20 minute walk from the main road at the southern tip of the island. With no nearby hotels or posadas, the bay's long beach is quieter than the others on the island. It is lined with Manzanillo trees, a tall palm with small, poisonous fruits.

At the southern edge of the beach is Roland’s Bar and Restaurant, a popular late-night spot that serves up cocktails and live music until the sun comes up. Roland will pick you up in his truck if you're coming out for dinner or drinks.
