Santa Catalina is a small island, just one square kilometer, connected to Providencia by a 150 meter long floating wooden bridge, known as the Lovers' Bridge. Most of the archipelago's history is concentrated on the island of Santa Catalina. It is the only place for walking in Providencia.
Santa Catalina is an interesting blend of history, culture and nature, full of secret passages that connect the Sea of Seven Colors with the nature surrounding it. Diverse plant life harmonizes with traditional agriculture and the tropical dry forest, which, although intervened by man, it still retains its essence.
